The Unprofitable Servant

The unprofitable servant will have his part in the lake of fire.

Matthew 25:30, “And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Faith without works is dead.

James 2:17-20

17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”

18 “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.”

19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

20 “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”

James 2:24-26

24 “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”

25 “Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?”

26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

Many will go through the motions of being a Christian and will not enter into the kingdom of God.

We must have a relationship with our Father for Him to know us.

Matthew 7:21-23

21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

22 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

23 “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Luke 13:25-28

25 “When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:”

26 “Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.”

27 “But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.”

28 “There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.”
