The Tribulation and The Hour of Temptation

The Tribulation and the hour of temptation are both the same three and one half years in which the Beast will rule the world.

The great tribulation will be the greatest time of anguish, persecution, and trouble the world has ever known.

Matthew 24:21-22

21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

22 “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

The hour of temptation will come upon all people. Satan will attempt to destroy God’s physical people, the Jews, and God’s spiritual people, the Church.

The Beast will confirm a covenant with many for one week and in the middle of the week (three- and one-half years) he will break the covenant.

Daniel 9:27, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

The Beast will confirm the covenant with many means that he will confirm the covenant that he has made between the Holy Roman Empire and the Jews.

The breaking of the covenant will begin the hour of temptation.

The Church will be in a place of safety.

Revelation 3:10, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

Revelation 12:14, “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”

In the hour of temptation, Christians will be tempted to deny being Christians and Jews will be tempted to deny being Jewish.

Luke 17:33, “Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.”

The Jews will be hated of all nations for Jesus’ names sake and many will be killed.

Matthew 24:9-10

9 “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”

10 “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.”

Luke 21:20-24

20 “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.”

21 “Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.”

22 “For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”

23 “But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.”

24 “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”

The Christians who do not go to the place of safety will have to either confess Jesus Christ or deny Jesus Christ.

Anyone who will not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Revelation 13:15, “ And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
