The Elect: Elijah

Two of the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 will exist in the end time: the Philadelphia Church and the Laodicean Church.

The Worldwide Church of God was the Philadelphia Church of God under Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong passed away and Mr. Jospeh W. Tkach Sr. took over the Church.

The Worldwide Church of God, under Mr. Joseph W. Tkach Sr., joins the churches of the world becoming the Laodicean Church.

Some of the elect are in many of these Christian churches, and the Lord will use The Little Book of Revelation 10 to purge all Christian churches.

In I Kings 19, Elijah thought all the Lord’s servants were dead, and that they were going to kill him also.

At some point in time, the Elijah to come will also believe all the Lord’s servants are dead, that he is the only one left, and that he is going to be killed also.

Each member of God’s Elect will be an Elijah. The Lord will purge the Philadelphia Church first.

The members of the Philadelphia Church will come together under a person comparable to the apostle John and they will prophesy to the Laodicean Church which has joined the churches of the world.

When they prophesy to the Laodicean Church, they will be prophesying to the other Christian churches also, and at this time the Lord will purge all of the Christian churches.

This will fulfill Mr. Gerald Flurry’s prophecy in ‘Malachi’s Message.’

Revelation 10:8-11

8″And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.”

9 “And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.”

10 “And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up, and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.”

11 “And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

The Lord is choosing His elect to rule with Him, and He will test their faith in Him. Each member of the Elect will have their own test of faith, just as Abraham had his test of faith when he was told to sacrifice his son Isaac.

The Lord will bring the elect from all the Christian churches together, they will go to a place of safety, and the remnant from these churches will go into the tribulation.

Revelation 12:14-17

14 “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”

15 “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.”

16 “And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.”

17 “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

The elect will rule with Christ.

Lawrence Burke’s Test of Faith

The Lord revealed to me that we do not have to physically keep the weekly Sabbath Day from sun down to sun down in order to keep it Holy, although I did not understand this fully at the time. The church split up over this issue. The Worldwide Church of God was the Philadelphia Church of Revelations 3 until the death of Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.

At Mr. Armstrong’s death, Mr. Joseph Tkach Sr. becomes the leader of the Worldwide Church of God.

Under the leadership of Mr. Tkach, the Church goes into the world becoming the Laodicean Church. Mr. Gerald Flurry continues the Philadelphia Church era.

I stayed with the Worldwide Church of God, which was under the direction of Mr. Joseph Tkach, Sr. At this time the Church became one of the churches of the world.

When I understood the Worldwide Church of God, now the Laodicean Church, had gone into the world, I came out of this Church. Now I was alone. I could not worship with the Philadelphia Church because they were teaching we had to keep the weekly Sabbath.

I was alone, totally, completely alone. I was without physical support of any kind. I was without a place to worship or anyone to worship with.

I was the only person in the whole world who believed as I believed. I was totally alone, just me and my faith in the Lord. I knew then, and know now, that I am right.

I continue to wait on the Lord to lead me as He reveals The Little Book to me.

I sinned against the Lord, and I repented, fasting for seven days, asking for mercy. He had mercy upon me.

I thank the Lord for His mercy and pray for the strength and guidance I need to finish the work He has given me.
