The 1260 days of Daniel 12:7

Daniel 12:7: “And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.”

What is the meaning of a time, times, and a half in this verse?

This is one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

The king (little horn) which comes up among the ten horns (kings) of Daniel 7:8, 24 shall make war against the saints and shall prevail against them.

Daniel 7:8: “I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.”

Daniel 7: 24: “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them, and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”

Daniel 7:21: “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;”

The saints shall be given into the hand of this king (little horn) until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Daniel 7:25: “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

The Gentiles shall tread underfoot the Holy City for forty and two months. The two witnesses shall prophesy these thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 11:2-3

2 “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.”

After these one thousand two hundred and sixty days are over the things shown in Daniel 12:1-3 shall resume and shall be finished.

Daniel 12:1-3

1 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”

2 “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”

3 “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.”

The 1290 days of Daniel 12:11

Daniel 12:11: “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

The events in this verse are to happen in the future. Notice the word ‘shall’ in the verse.

The daily sacrifice is taken away at the same time the abomination that maketh desolate is set up.

No one knows the day nor the hour when Jesus will return but the Father. He does not give us specific data to count from or to tell when Jesus will return.

The only data the Lord gives which you can count to is when the two witnesses are killed.

From the time that both the daily sacrifice is taken away and the abomination that maketh desolate is set up until the two witnesses are killed shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

The 1335 days of Daniel 12:12

Daniel 12:12: “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.”

The meaning of this scripture is understood using God’s annual Holy Days. The most blessed day ever for mankind was when the Lord gave mankind access to the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost in 31 A.D. This is shown in Acts 2.

Jesus began His ministry on the first day of the Feast of Trumpets in 27 C.E as shown in Luke 4:16-24.

Luke 4:16-24

16 “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.”

17 “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,”

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

19 “To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

20 “And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.”

21 “And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

22 “And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?”

23 “And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.”

24 “And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.”

From the first day of the seventh month (Feast of Trumpets) 27 C.E. when Jesus began His ministry until the eighth day of the third month (Pentecost) 31 C.E. is one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. This is the Day of Pentecost in which God gave mankind access to His Holy Spirit. This is the most blessed day ever for mankind.

Blessed is the man who lives after the Holy Spirit is offered to mankind in Acts 2.
