Satan and the Son of Satan

One of the biggest mysteries of the Bible is that Satan has a son.

Lucifer, Son of God, rebelled against his Father, the Lord.

Satan was the angel, Lucifer, before he became Satan.

God created the angels and then the earth. The angels shouted for joy when God created the earth.

Job 38:4-7

4 "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding."

5 "Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?"

6 "Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;"

7 "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"

Lucifer was placed over the other angels. Lucifer rebelled against God changing him (Lucifer) into Satan.

Satan is god of this world now, so Lucifer would have been god of the world before he became Satan.

II Corinthians 4:4

4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

Luke 4:5-6

5 "And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time."

6 "And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it."

Lucifer was created perfect but later he sinned, rebelling against the Lord, taking many of the angels with him.

Ezekiel 28:12-19

12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty."

13 "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created."

14 "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire."

15 "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

16 "By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire."

17 "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee."

18 "Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee."

19 "All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more."

Isaiah 14:12-15

12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

13 "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:"

14 "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."

15 "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

Revelation 12:4: "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."

Jude 1:6: "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

Lucifer's rebellion brings about the destruction of the earth and the Lord repairs this destruction in the creation week shown in Genesis 1.

Psalms 104:30,"Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth."

Satan was in The Garden of Eden as The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Satan is called an 'Old Serpent'.

Revelation 12:9: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Revelation 12:15: "And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood."

Revelation 20:2: "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,"

Satan is the serpent which tempted Eve.

Genesis 3:1: "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"

Notice the word 'he' in verse one. The word 'he' is a masculine pronoun: a male person.

Satan is the father of The Son of Perdition in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 because a son has to have a father.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4

3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

4 "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

Satan is The Dragon.

Revelation 12:3-4

3 "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads."

4 "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."

Revelation 12:7

7 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"

Revelation 12:9

9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Revelation 12:13

13 "And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child."

Revelation 12:17

17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Satan is The Dragon which gives The Beast his power, his seat, and great authority.

Revelation 13:2

2 "And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

Many teach that Satan knows he is going to lose the war and that he wants to take as many with him to the second death as he can. This is not so. Satan really believes he can defeat the Lord. He did not believe the Lord in the beginning, and he does not believe the Lord now.

In II Thessalonians 2:4, 'Showing himself that he is God' means that he believes that he has finally defeated God and that he is God.

Son of Satan:

Satan duplicates our Father in many ways.

God has a Holy Spirit; Satan has an evil spirit. Just as our Heavenly Father has a Son, Satan has a son.

When God's Holy Spirit enters into a person that person is then a Son of God. If a woman is pregnant the unborn child belongs to the father even though the baby is not yet born. It is the same with our Father. When you have God's Holy Spirit in you, you are an unborn child of God. Your life here on earth is like the pregnancy of a woman and the resurrection is your birth. You are then a permanent child of God.

When Satan's spirit entered Judas, Judas then became a son of Satan.

Luke 22:3: "Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve."

Judas, The son of perdition is the prince of this world. A prince is the son of a king. The son of perdition is the son of Satan.

John 14:30, "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."

Judas is a prince or son of Satan and Satan is the king or god of this world now.

John 12:31, "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out."

For there to be a son there has to be a father.

Acts 13:6,9-10

6 "And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus"

9 "Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him."

10 "And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?"

The son of perdition mentioned in John 17:12 and the son of perdition mentioned in II Thessalonians 2:3 are both sons of Satan.

John 17:12: “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.”

II Thessalonians 2:3: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

Perdition: Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance #684: ruin or loss (physical, spiritual, or eternal).

Satan is the father of perdition (father of total destruction), and the son of perdition is his son.

The son of perdition sets himself up as God on earth and is the beast who rules the world for forty and two months.

II Thessalonians 2:4: “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

Revelation 13:5-7

5 "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."

6 "And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven."

7 "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

The son of perdition is the beast of the bottomless pit mentioned in Revelation 9:11, Revelation 11:7, and Revelation 17:8 whose Greek name is Apollyon.

Revelation 9:1-3, 11

1 "And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit."

2 "And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit."

3 "And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power."

11 "And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."

Revelation 11:7, "And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them." (the two witnesses)

Revelation 17:8, "The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."

The Beast (the son of perdition, the son of Satan) is destroyed with the brightness of Jesus coming.

II Thessalonians 2:8-9

8 "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"

9 "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,"

Ezekiel 28 shows us the father and son (Satan and The Son of Perdition) are the Prince of Tyrus and the King of Tyrus.

The Prince of Tyrus:

Ezekiel 28:1-10

1 "The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,"

2 "Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:"

3 "Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:"

4 "With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:"

5 "By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:"

6 "Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;"

7 "Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness."

8 "They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas."

9 "Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee."

10 "Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God."

The King of Tyrus:

Ezekiel 28:11-19

11 "Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"
