How Old Is the Earth and Were There Two Creations of Mankind?

We do not know how old the earth is. Scientist say the earth is 4.54 billion years old.

God created the Angels and then the earth.

Job 38:4-7

4 “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.”

5 “Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?”

6 “Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;”

7 “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

The Sons of God are Angels and they shouted for joy when the Lord created the earth.

Job 1:6, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.”

Job 2:1, “Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present

themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.”

From the time the earth was created shown in Job 38 until Adam was created is billions of years.

From the time Adam was created until Jesus was born is four thousand years.

From the time Jesus was born until now is approximately two thousand and twenty years.

The Lord created the seven day week with the seventh day being a day of rest.

A thousand years is as a day with God. God is letting mankind rule himself for six thousand years and then He will intervene.

After Jesus returns, we will have the one thousand year millennium during which time Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit. Our six thousand years is over. We are living in the last days.

Were There Two Creations of Mankind?:

Yes, there are two creations of mankind shown in Genesis.

Genesis 1:27 tells us God created male and female in His Own image on the sixth day of the creation week.

This is all we know concerning the first creation of mankind.

Sometime after the creation week the Lord God created Adam.

Genesis 2:7: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

The Lord put Adam in The Garden of Eden to dress it and keep it.

Genesis 2:15: “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

The Lord God created the beast of the field and the fowl of the air and brought them unto Adam to name.

Genesis 2:19-20

19 “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.”

20 “And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.”

The Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam. The Lord took one of Adam’s ribs to make Eve.

We do not know the length of time between the two creations nor do we know what happened to the first creation.

We do know that we are all descendants of Adam and Eve.

Genesis 3:20: “And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.”

Acts 17:26: “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
