God’s Plan of Salvation

God’s plan of Salvation is revealed to us through His Feasts.

The Lord has a Weekly Feast which is the weekly Sabbath Day.

The Lord has seven annual Feasts throughout the year. These Feasts were observed by the Israelites in the Old Testament and were observed by the Church in the New Testament and will be observed in the World Tomorrow.

The seventh day is a symbol of completion.

The Lord created the heavens and the earth and all the host of them in six days. He rested on the seventh day, blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.

Genesis 2:1-3

1 “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.”

2 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”

3 “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

The Lord has a seven-thousand-year plan of Salvation for mankind revealed by the seven-day week and by seven annual feasts.

The weekly Sabbath Day is to remind us of the Lord’s eternal power and Godhead by His creation of the world in six days.

Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

The weekly Sabbath Day and the seven-day week is to remind us of God’s seven-thousand-year plan of Salvation to create sons and daughters to be in the Family of God.

This plan is revealed by the Annual Feasts.

II Peter 3:8, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

Man is commanded to work six days and rest the seventh which is the Lord’s Sabbath. God’s servants are to work six thousand years and then enter into a thousand-year rest.

God’s annual feasts for the Israelites picture His plan of salvation for all mankind.

Each feast depicts a stage to be fulfilled in the plan of salvation; each one is fulfilled in the New Testament or in the world tomorrow.

The annual feasts are found in the Old Testament but are not part of the Old Covenant. We are to observe the feasts as commanded.

The weekly Sabbath day, The Passover, and the Days of Unleavened Bread were observed by the Israelites before the Old Covenant was made between the Lord and the Israelites

.

The Old Covenant was a covenant between the Lord and the Israelites. This covenant was abolished with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ

.

Ephesians 2:11-15

11 “Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;”

12 “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:”

13 “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”

14 “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;”

15 “Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;”

Under the Old Covenant the Israelites were to keep the Ten Commandments and the Lord would make Israel a Holy nation of priests.

Exodus 19:5-8

5 “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 “And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.”

7 “And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him.”

8 “And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.”

The Old Covenant was for Israel only. God’s plan of salvation, the New Covenant, shown in the annual feasts, is for all mankind.

The Old Covenant was temporary. The New Covenant is eternal.

There are seven annual feasts of the Lord and there are seven Holy Days during these feasts.

The annual feasts fall during the three harvest seasons of the year in the land of biblical Israel. These harvest seasons are the early spring harvest, the late spring harvest, and the early autumn harvest. These days portray God’s spiritual harvest of mankind to eternal life.

The early spring harvest represents the first fruits which are Jesus Christ and the Church. The Church consists of the Lord’s elect, and they shall reign with Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 15:20-23

20 “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”

21 “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.”

22 “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

23 “But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.”

Romans 8:23: “And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

Revelation 14:4: “These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the first-fruits unto God and to the Lamb.”

Revelation 5:10: “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

These first fruits are God’s Elect of His Church which will go to a place of safety.

The late spring harvest represents the repentant ones who come out of great tribulation.

The ones that come out of great tribulations:

Revelation 7:9-14

9 “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;”

10 “And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.”

11 “And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,”

12 “Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.”

13 “And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?”

14 “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

There will be 144,000 who will go through the tribulation.

These 144,000 will repopulate the house of Israel in the millennium.

Revelation 7:1-4

1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.”

2 “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,”

3 “Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

4 “And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”

Revelation 9:4, “And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”The early autumn harvest is the in-gathering at the end of the harvest season.

The Last Great Day or Eighth Day pictures this in-gathering in which the Lord deals with all mankind who have not been called concerning their salvation.

John 7:37-38

37 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”

38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

Christians are commanded to assemble and worship on the Holy Days within these annual feasts.

The Passover:

Leviticus 23:5: “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord’s passover.”

The Passover was observed in the Old Testament by killing a lamb, taking of the blood and striking it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses.

The Lord would pass over these houses when fulfilling the plague which killed all the firstborn in Egypt.

Exodus 12:7: “And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.”

Exodus 12:12-13

12 “For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.”

13 “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”

The Passover is fulfilled in the New Testament by Jesus Christ being crucified for our sins.

Jesus Christ pictures the lamb in the Old Testament; His blood covers the sin of all mankind.

We are to observe the Passover by taking the bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus Christ.

We are to wash each other’s feet as a symbol of humility.

Luke 22:19: “And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.”

Matthew 26:26-30

26 “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.”

27 “And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;”

28 “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

29 “But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

30 “And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.”

John 13:1-17

1 “Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.”

2 “And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;”

3 “Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;”

4 “He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.”

5 “After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.”

6 “Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?”

7 “Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.”

8 “Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.”

9 “Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.”

10 “Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.”

11 “For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.”

12 “So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?”

13 “Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.”

14 “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.”

15 “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”

16 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.”

17 “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.”

We will observe the Passover in the world tomorrow.

Matthew 26:29, “ But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

The Feast of Unleavened Bread:

The Feast of Unleavened Bread pictures the Lord bringing the Israelites out of Egypt.

Egypt is a symbol of sin and leaven is a symbol of sin.

Today this is a symbol of the Lord leading us out of sin.

The Israelites were to eat unleavened bread for seven days.

Leviticus 23:6-8

6 “And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.”

7 “In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.”

8 “But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.”

Leaven is a symbol of sin in the Bible. We are to put sin out of our lives just as the Israelites were to put leaven out of their food and houses.

Exodus 12:14-20

14 “And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.”

15 “Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.”

16 “And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.”

17 “And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.”

18 “In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.”

19 “Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.”

20 “Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.”

Acts 20:6: “And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.”

After the Crucifixion, Paul tells the Gentile Christians to observe the Days of Unleavened Bread.

I Corinthians 5:7-8

7 “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:”

8 “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

The Feast of Pentecost:

The Feast of Pentecost pictures the first fruits of the family of God in His plan of salvation. In the Old Covenant the Feast of Pentecost represented the first spring crops to mature and ripen.

Leviticus 23:10-22, verse 10: “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:”

Jesus and the Church are the first fruits.

James 1:18: “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.”

Romans 8:23: “And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

Revelation 14:4: “These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”

On the Day of Pentecost, the Lord made His Holy Spirit available to all mankind. With the Holy Spirit within us we grow and mature into the first fruits of God.

Acts 2:1-21

1 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”

2 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.”

3 “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.”

4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

5 “And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.”

6 “Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.”

7 “And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?”

8 “And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?”

9 “Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,”

10 “Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,”

11 “Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”

12 “And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?”

13 “Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.”

14 “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:”

15 “For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.”

16 “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;”

17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:”

18 “And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”

19 “And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:”

20 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:”

21 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Acts 20:16: “For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.”

I Corinthians 16:8: “But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.”

The Feast of Trumpets:

Leviticus 23:23-25

23 “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,”

24 “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.”

25 “Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.”

The Feast of Trumpets is a memorial of God’s guidance of the Israelites with the sound of trumpets.

The sound of the trumpet was used to assemble the people for different reasons, to announce the beginning of events, sound an alarm, and etc.

1 Corinthians 14:8, “For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?”

Numbers 10:1-10

In the book of Revelation, the Lord will continue to use the sound of trumpets to announce the beginning of events.

The seventh seal has seven trumpets. The Feast of Trumpets depict the seven trumpets of the seventh seal which is the wrath of God.

Revelation 6:12-17

Seven trumpet blasts will announce the beginning of seven great events which will take place, one of which is the return of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 11:15, “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

The events from the first four trumpets will affect the earth.

Revelation 8:7-12

7 “The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

8 “And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;”

9 “And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”

10 “And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;”

11 “And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.”

12 “And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.”

The fifth, sixth, and seventh trumpets will bring three terrible woes upon mankind.

Revelation 8:13: “And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!”

The fifth trumpet: the fifth trumpet is the first woe. During the first woe mankind will be tormented for five months by locusts which come out of the smoke from the bottomless pit.

Revelation 9:1-12

The sixth trumpet: the sixth trumpet brings about the fulfillment of the second woe and other events.

An army of two hundred thousand thousand will kill the third part of men.

Revelation 9:13-21

13 “And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,”

14 “Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.”

15 “And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.”

16 “And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.”

17 “And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.”

18 “By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.”

19 “For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.”

20 “And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:”

21 “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

The Little Book will be revealed (Revelation 10:8-11) and the Church will be purged. The King of the North will come against the King of the South (Daniel 11:40). The elect will go to a place of safety (Revelation 12:13-17), the Two Witnesses will be killed, come back to life, and ascend up to Heaven in a cloud (Revelation 11:1-13).

Study Revelation 10 and 11.

The seventh trumpet: the seventh trumpet will usher in the Kingdom of God and bring about the third woe.

Revelation 11:14-19

14 “The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.”

15 “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

16 “And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,”

17 “Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.”

18 “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

19 “And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”

The third woe is the seven last plagues that fill up the wrath of God.

Revelation 15:1: “And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”

Revelation 16:1: “And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.”

Study Revelation 16:1-17.

The Day of Atonement:

The Day of Atonement symbolizes the reconciliation of God and all humanity. This pictures the removal of Satan. We are to fast on this day, humble ourselves, and draw close to God.

Leviticus 23:26-32

26 “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,”

27 “Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.”

28 “And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.”

29 “For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.”

30 “And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.”

31 “Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.”

32 “It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.”

Acts 27:9: “Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,”

The Feast of Tabernacles:

The Feast of Tabernacles pictures the thousand-year reign of Jesus after His return.

Leviticus 23:33-43

33 “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,”

34 “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.”

35 “On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.”

36 “Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.”

37 “These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:”

38 “Beside the sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord.”

39 “Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.”

40 “And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.”

41 “And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.”

42 “Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:”

43 “That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”

We are to come together for this feast and rejoice before the Lord with the first day being a day of worship.

Jesus told His brothers to go up to the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.

John 7:2&8

2 “Now the Jew’s feast of tabernacles was at hand.”

8 “Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.”

Jesus, Himself, kept the Feast of Tabernacles.

John 7:14, “Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.”

Acts 18:21: (Paul) “But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.”

The Feast of Tabernacle will be observed in the world tomorrow.

Zechariah 14:16-19

16 “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.”

17 “And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.”

18 “And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.”

19 “This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.”

The Eighth Day or Last Great Day:

The Eighth Day or Last Great Day depicts the time when the Lord will deal with all the people who were not called concerning their salvation. This is a day of worship.

Leviticus 23:36: “Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.”

John 7:37-38

37 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”

38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
