God’s Chosen People: The Israelites and The ChurchGod’s chosen people are the Israelites and the Church. The Israelites are His physical people and the church is made up of His spiritual people. In this end time, the Jews are considered God’s chosen people but the promises were given to all Israel.

Romans 9:4 “Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises.”

Jesus was of the tribe of Judah, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Jesus came to His own, the Jews, and they received Him not.

John 1:11: “He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”

Jesus sent the twelve disciples to the other tribes of Israel.

Matthew 10:5-6

5 “These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:”

6 “But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

The Lord gave the Israelites two physical signs that identified them as God’s chosen physical people.

These signs are circumcision of the flesh and the keeping of the weekly sabbath day from sundown to sundown.

The Lord gives the members of His Church two spiritual signs that identify them as His chosen spiritual people. These signs are circumcision of the heart and faith in Jesus Christ.

The physical Jews are the bloodline of the tribe of Judah.

Every true Christian is spiritually a Jew. When you become a Christian, you become a spiritual Jew.

Romans 2:28-29

28 “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:”

29 “But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

Salvation is of the Jews.

John 4:22-24

22 “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”

23 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

To claim to be a spiritual Jew when you are not is claiming to be a Christian when you are not a Christian.

Exodus 20:7: “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”

Revelation 2:9: “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

Revelation 3:9: “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”

These people claim to be spiritual when they are not.

Every Christian is spiritually a Jew.

Israel was the wife of the Lord. Israel committed adultery and the Lord divorced Israel.

The Lord is now choosing a wife for Jesus Christ which cannot commit adultery.

The Church will be the bride of Jesus Christ.
