God and Jesus and Is God A Trinity?

God and Jesus are two separate Spiritual Deities.

They both are Gods.

John 1:1-2

1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

2 “The same was in the beginning with God.”

God and the Word were together in the beginning and they were both Gods.

God became the Father and the Word became the Son, Jesus.

John 1:14: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.”

Revelation 19:11-13

11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”

12 “His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.”

13 “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”

God and Jesus are the same as Jesus has God’s Holy Spirit in Him. True Christians are sons and daughters of God who have God’s Spirit in them.

John 17:21-23

21 “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”

22 “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:”

23 “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

It is the same with Satan as it is with the Father. God has a Holy Spirit and Satan has an evil spirit.

Judas is the Son of Perdition which betrayed Jesus Christ.

John 17:12, “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.”

Matthew 26:25, “Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.”

Judas is a son of Satan and the Son of Perdition in II Thessalonians 2 is a son of Satan.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4

3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

Satan, Judas, and the Son of Perdition spoken of in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 are all one because Judas and the Son of Perdition have Satan’s evil spirit in them.

Luke 22:3, “Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.”

When you become a son of God, you have His Holy Spirit within you giving you the characteristics of God. You and God are then one.

1 Corinthians 6:17, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”

If you become a son of Perdition, son of Satan, you will have Satan’s evil spirit within you giving you the characteristics of Satan.

You and Satan would become one as you have Satan’s evil spirit within you.

When it is said, “when you have seen Jesus, you have seen the Father” this means that Jesus has God’s Holy Spirit within Him giving Him the characteristics of the Father.

When you have seen One, you have seen the Other. God and Jesus have the same moral characteristics.

When we are full of the Holy Spirit we can do the things Jesus did.

The Father, the Son, and all true Christians are one, as God’s Holy Spirit within them makes them all one.

John 17:21

God created everything through the Word and in order to save mankind the Word became Jesus.

In royalty the birthright belongs to the firstborn son.

Jesus is the firstborn Son of God, so the birthright belongs to Him.

We will all worship Jesus when He returns as King of kings.

Is God a Trinity?

Some churches teach that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all one spiritual Deity calling them The Trinity.

God is not a trinity in this way. God is a family.

Ephesians 3:14-15

14 “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,”

15 “Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,”

God is a God and He is creating the family of God.

The word God in Genesis 1 is plural as a family, team, club, church, and so forth.

God: Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance #430-plural of #433; gods in the ordinary sense; but especially used (in the plural.-)

Many churches do not understand I John 5:7.

1 John 5:7: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

The subject here is the record that is kept in heaven. The subject is not ‘God is a Trinity’.

This is like the secretary at a business meeting keeping the minutes of the meeting.

The minutes would be a record of what was said and done at the meeting.

Bear – Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance #3140- to be a witness- bear record- good (honest) report,…

Record – Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance #3140- to be a witness- bear record- good (honest) report,…

You have Three that bear record in Heaven; the Father, The Word, and the Holy Ghost and these Three are One.

They all keep the same record. They are in agreement in the record they keep. These Three are One in this way.

There are three that bear witness in earth; the Spirit, the water, and the blood and these three agree in one.

I John 5:8, “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”

The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost would be in agreement the same as the Spirit, and the water, and the blood are in agreement.

The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one or are a trinity, in that the three of them all bear the same record. One does not say one thing and the other something else. They all say the same thing or all bear the same record.

The New International Version of the Bible states that the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are in agreement. They all keep the same record or are in agreement of the record They keep.

NIV I John 5:7-8

7 “For there are three that testify:”

8 “the[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.”

I John 5:7 can be compared to the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These four gospels are one in that they all bear the same record of the gospel of God. They are all in agreement.

Every time a person becomes a Christian, the family of God grows.

We are children of God and joint heirs with Christ.

Romans 8:14-17

14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

15 “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

16 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

17 “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

We that have part in the first resurrection will reign with Jesus Christ for one thousand years.

Revelation 20:6, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

We will be like Jesus Christ when He appears.

I John 3:2, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

We, the Saints, shall judge the world and judge Angels.

I Corinthians 6:2-3

2 “Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?”

3 “Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?”

God is a family and we are sons and daughters of God with Jesus Christ as our older brother.

God and Jesus are two separate distinct Deities with divine nature. The Word was the spokesman for the two and the Word became Jesus Christ and the other God became the Father.

John 1:14

The Holy Spirit is not a Spiritual Deity. The Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit, is the power of God, and proceeds from Him.

Luke 1:35: (Angel speaking to Mary) “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

Matthew 1:20, “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”

John 15:26, “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:”

God is the Father of Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God. The Holy Spirit is not the Father of Jesus.

If the Holy Spirit is a separate Deity, then the Holy Spirit would be the Father of Jesus, not God.

You can have different portions or amounts of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was given the Holy Spirit without measure.

John 3:34, “For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.”

John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb.

Luke 1:15, “For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.”

Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 1:41, “And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:”

We are given the earnest (part of the whole) of the Holy Spirit.

II Corinthians 1:22, “Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”

II Corinthians 5:5, “ Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.”

Earnest – Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance#728 – Greek: a pledge, part of the purchase – money or property given in advance as security for the rest: earnest.

We can have a small portion of the Holy Spirit or we can be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is not a separate Deity. It is the Spirit and power of the Highest that flows from God through Jesus Christ and through all Christians that makes God, Jesus, and all Christians one.

God’s Spirit in us makes us all one.

The Holy Spirit differs from God and Jesus in that He can be poured.

Acts 2:17-18

17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:”

18 “And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”

Acts 10:45, “And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

The Holy Spirit is called ‘He’ in the Bible.

The Holy Spirit belongs to the Father, is His power, and is a part of Him.

To call the Holy Spirit ‘It’ or something similar would be blasphemy (downgrading the Holy Spirit.)

Matthew 12:31-32

31 “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”

32 “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

The Lord gives you the Holy Spirit after you are baptized and have hands laid upon you.

Acts 8:14-18

The Lord can take His Holy Spirit from you.

I Samuel 16:13-14

13 “Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.”

14 “But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.”

Exodus 32:31-33

31 “And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.”

32 “Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.”

33 “And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.”

Psalm 51: 10-12

10 (David) “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

11 “Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”

12 “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

Revelation 3:5, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

We are told in John 1:1-2 that in the beginning there was the Word and He was with another God. This is two Spiritual beings.

It does not say, “there was the Word, another God, and the Holy Spirit.” It only mentions two spiritual beings.

Mark 13:32 shows us that God and Jesus are two separate deities.

Mark 13:32, “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”

In John 17:5 Jesus tells us that He and His Father were together before the world was.

John 17:5, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”

In Genesis 1:26 God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: ……”

Genesis 1:26: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

Notice the word ‘us’ and the word ‘our’ in the verse. The Lord God is not talking to Himself. He is talking to another God.

In Genesis 3:22 the Lord God said, “Behold the man is become as one of us….”

Genesis 3:22: “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:”

Notice the word ‘us’ in the verse. The Lord God is not talking to Himself. He is talking to another God.

At the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11:7, the Lord uses the word ‘Us’.

Genesis 11:7, “Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

Notice the words ‘me’, ‘my’, ‘we’, and ‘our’ in John 14:23.

John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

After Jesus was baptized, the Spirit of God descended from Heaven, lighting on Jesus. The Father spoke from Heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.” This is the Father talking to us about His Son, Jesus. He is not talking to Himself or about Himself.

God the Father and Jesus are two separate deities.

Jesus is at the right hand of God the Father.

Romans 8:34, “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

Jesus’ Spirit went back to the Father at Jesus’ death .

Luke 23:46, “And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.”

This scripture shows that Jesus has His own spirit and that He is a separate Deity.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God which flows from Him through Jesus Christ and through each one of us who are true Christians. We have the Spirit of God in us and we are sons and daughters of God. If we endure to the end, we will be like Him when we are resurrected.

God is a family and we are children of God.

Ephesians 3:14-15

God is reproducing Himself.

Genesis 1:26-27

26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

Luke 20:36, “Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.”

I John 3:1-2

1 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”

2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

Romans 8:16-17

16 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

17 “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

II Corinthians 6:18, “And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

Galatians 4:4-7

4 “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,”

5 “To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”

6 “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”

7 “Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

In Paul’s letters he tells us the letters are from God and Jesus. They are not also from the Holy Spirit. Why?

They would be if the Holy Spirit was a Spiritual Deity.

The letters are from God and Jesus and are to the Spirit within us that makes us sons and daughters of God.

If the letters were also from the Holy Spirit, then the Spirit would be writing a letter to Himself.

The Holy Spirit in us makes us members of the Family of God.

Jesus came to reveal the Father.

The Father is over all, He is creating the family of God.
